Jimmy “Sacrifical Lamb” Raye

OK….they had to do something, and this was it.  One wonders with Coach Singletary’s arrogance, if he did it,  or was it a phone call from above?  Jimmy Raye wasn’t the answer. We all saw that last year, let alone this. He never should have been hired in the first place.  Scott Linehan the current offensive coordinator for the up and coming Detroit Lions told Coach Sing he didn’t want the job, because he “wanted to be closer to home.” Hardy, har, har………… Then there was Mike Martz, who had, according  to Coach Sing, “a different philosophy than mine”, and thus needed to move along. Yep, Jimmy Raye’s offensive acuity far exceeds Mike Martzs’.  It was, and continues to be, crystal clear. Mike Singletary is not going to hire someone who is going to challenge his authority or control.  Meanwhile, other teams, like the emerging  Chiefs, hit the field with assistants Charlie Weis and Romeo Crennel calling the shots. Think Head Coad Todd Haley and GM Scott Pioli are happy about that? Well, we all saw the results when the Niners rolled into Arrowhead.
